President
Scott Stewart
Mr. Stewart has over 35 years of experience in optical engineering, predominantly in the test arena. Additionally, he also served for 18 years on the Pima Community College Board championing workforce development programs. Scott is currently a Senior Technical Staff Member at Control Vision, Inc. and was previously a Sr. Principle Systems Engineer at Raytheon specializing in near-IR laser systems, LWIR imaging systems, and EMI testing.

Dr. Erik Novak
Dr. Novak has more than 30 years of experience spanning optical metrology, engineering, product development, business strategy, and organizational leadership. Throughout his career, he has held key roles at industry-leading companies including Veeco, Bruker, and 4D Technology, where he most recently served as Vice President and General Manager.
Treasurer & Secretary
Cory Boone
Cory Boone has over 10 years of experience in the photonics industry and leads the technical marketing and social media strategy for Zygo. He also writes the Larry Laser kids' book series, produces educational online videos about optics, and actively participates in in-person outreach events.

Cat Merril
Mrs. Merrill has over 20 years of experience in the optical field both in the private and public spheres. She currently serves as the Director of Space Telescope Programs for Steward Observatory at The University of Arizona. Mrs. Merrill’s working legacy is a history of educational philanthropic efforts including work with MESA, JobPath, OSIRIS-Rex Ambassadors, Women United, Girl Scouts, and as part of the Women United Global Leadership Council.

Dr. Elka Koehler
Dr. Koehler has over 25 years of optical experience, serving at NASA Langley, Raytheon, Teledyne, Worldview, and GEOST. She has also served as a AAAS Congressional Science and Technology Fellow where she advised the senate on policy issues. She is currently the head of optical engineering at NSF NOIRLab.

Dr. Lukas Gruber
Dr. Gruber has more than 25 years of experience in the photonics industry and is currently responsible for business development in industrial, scientific and energy markets at Leonardo Electronics.
